When you create an account, we collect your email address and a username. We do not require children to create their own accounts — parental accounts govern access.
Usage Data
We collect anonymised data about how stories are played, including story completion rates and listening duration. This helps us improve recommendations. We do not link this data to personally identifiable information.
Device Information
We collect basic device information (model, OS version) for compatibility and support purposes only.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
TellTales is designed for children under 13 to use with parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All accounts are created and managed by parents or guardians.

5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the EU. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication and data storage
- Google Cloud Storage — Audio and image assets
- ElevenLabs — AI-powered voice narration (anonymised text only)
Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
